EVENTS Coffee Filter Flowers Workshop Get ready to bloom creatively on Saturday, March 23, 2024! I will be leading a workshop where you'll learn to transform ordinary coffee filters into breathtakingly lifelike roses. This art making gathering is in anticipation of the St. Andrews Players' upcoming production of "The Secret Garden" in April 2024. Together, we'll craft our way to an exquisite set design with these handcrafted blooms.

Secrets of the Paper Garden: Peony

In this hands-on paper flower workshop, we will focus on one of the most beautiful and beloved flowers : the peony.
Working from a lush selection of crepe papers, you will be led step-by-step down the 'peony path' to create your own specimen, complete with petals, stamen, pistol, leaves, stem, and bud. You will be taught techniques for cutting, sculpting, adhering and assembling the materials into a stylized or intricate life-life flower, fresh from the garden. You will also be shown a variety of methods for embellishing and styling your paper bloom. This wilt-free and allergen-free flower is perfect for a vase to brighten your table, give as a gift, or augment your own artwork or event. You will make and take away your own completed flower. You will also receive a kit to take home containing extra crepe papers and instructions to practice making more beautiful flowers. Workshop Fee Per Student - $60.00 members and $70 non-members; Plus $25 supply fee per student Maximum Number of Students - 8 |
